What is Mine Blocks?
Mine Blocks is a charmingly 2D sandbox adventure inspired by Minecraft, originally written in Flash but now fully rendered in HTML5. It is an open-world game for creativity: dig, build, craft, and explore in a pixelated universe where your imagination is the sole constraint. Ongoing developer updates keep it both nostalgic and fresh in offerings for fans of block survival.
How to Play

- Inventory and Crafting: Press E to open your inventory, where you can craft tools, armor, and more.
- Using Items: Place food and tools in the Hotbar and right-click + hold to use them.
Tips & Tricks
- Go Simple in the Beginning: Punch wood out of a tree, craft a workbench, and make basic tools (wood → stone → iron) to make it last longer.
- Light Up: Put torches to keep monsters away; do it around your base at night.
- Dare the Underground: Dig deep for rare ores, but careful with lava! Always keep a spare pickaxe handy.
- Farming Food: Make a good meal hunting or farming (seeds + hoe) for your hunger bar.
History
A Flash-based homage to Minecraft that would later acquire a cult following due to its versatile 2D spin on sandbox gameplay. After Flash was attacked with the big axe, it was revived in HTML5, thus polishing quite a bit, adding new features, while retaining the retro charm.
Play Unblocked
Since the HTML5 version runs in almost every browser under the sun, it is visit-worthy for those looking for blocked game alternatives during some school or work breaks (just don't forget to save your world first!).
